Our Story of Taste & Tradition

Preserving culinary heritage and authentic recipes in New Delhi since 1971.

The Journey of Purity & Taste

Founded in 1971 by Late Shri Devi Prasad Agarwal, Raj Petha Bhandar began as a family passion project to bring the genuine taste of Agra's royal sweets to Kailash Nagar, Delhi. For over 50 years, we have marched shoulder-to-shoulder with modern times, keeping our sweet recipes traditional, authentic, and 100% vegetarian.

The art of making a perfect Petha requires meticulous craftsmanship. We start by handpicking fully ripe winter melons (ash gourd). They are carefully peeled, cut into uniform cubes or sphere shapes, and washed multiple times. The melon pulp is then boiled in clean water and subsequently cooked in pure sugar syrups infused with premium saffron strands (kesar) and kewra extract.

Unlike commercial competitors, we do not use chemical softeners, artificial preservatives, or synthetic coloring agents. Every box of Raj Petha is a promise of hygiene, fresh ingredients, and royal heritage.

"A box of sweets is not just a food product; it is a symbol of warmth, respect, and festivity. That is why we refuse to compromise on our 1971 family recipe."

Selected Ash Gourds

Our melons are sourced directly from partner farms in Haryana, selected specifically for dry matter thickness and optimal water content.

Kashmiri Saffron

We source 100% pure Lacha Saffron directly from growers in Pampore, Kashmir, giving our Kesar Angoori its rich golden hue.

Ghee-Roasted Cashews

The cashews used in our premium Dalmoth mixtures are roasted in pure desi ghee to bring out a buttery crunch that perfectly balances spicy black pepper.
